实验背后的想法是看孩子们天生的特质。是个 语言 那一个 人 说话 先天，还是 学到了？是个 声音 那一个 动物 使 先天，还是 学到了?
> “Both monolinguals and second 语言 learners showed some errors 在 their thinking, but each group made different kinds of mistakes. Monolinguals were more likely to think that everything is 先天, while bilinguals were more likely to think that everything is 学到了,” says Byers-Heinlein.
> “Children’s systematic errors are really 在 teresting to psychologists, because they help us understand the process of development. Our results provide a striking demonstration that everyday experience 在 one domain — 语言 learning — can alter children’s beliefs about a wide range of domains, reducing children’s essentialist biases.”
> The study has important social implications because adults who hold stronger essentialist beliefs are more likely to endorse stereotypes and prejudiced attitudes.
> “Our finding that 双语 reduces essentialist beliefs raises the possibility that early second 语言 education could be used to promote the acceptance of human social and physical diversity,” says Byers-Heinlein.
